Our Work
Reflecting on our career highlights, the nomination of our music video for Best Music Video at the BRIT Awards in 2017 stands as a pinnacle achievement. This recognition wasn't just a nod to the video's visual impact but a testament to the relentless dedication and creativity that defined its production. Operating under a stringent timeline, we were tasked with capturing the entirety of the footage in a single, frenetic day. The pressure was immense, but so was our determination to create something remarkable.
Our involvement took a unique turn early in the shoot. Tasked with performing with fire poi ball-and-chains, we found ourselves in the midst of the action, not just orchestrating the art direction but actively participating in the creation of the visual spectacle. The requirement to wear hessian masks obscured our identities but heightened the mystery and intensity of the performance, adding a raw, elemental quality to the video that perfectly complemented its artistic vision.
This experience was exhilarating, blending the boundaries between art direction and performance art. Each swing of the fire poi was a stroke of light against the canvas of the night, painting a visual story as compelling as the music itself. The fun and passion infused into the making of the video were palpable, with every member of the team pushing their limits to ensure that our collective vision came to life.
The nomination was a crowning moment that celebrated our hard work, creativity, and the innovative spirit that drove the project. It validated our efforts and showcased the power of collaborative artistry in transcending the ordinary. This project, with its challenges and triumphs, will forever be etched in our memories as a defining moment in our journey as Art Directors, where passion, creativity, and a bit of fire poi set the stage for an unforgettable visual masterpiece.
