Project
"Between the Sky and the Clouds" was an artistic direction project. We were tasked with creating a podcast set that would transport listeners to the sky, evoking a sense of power and dreaminess simultaneously. The design was to feature pastel tones and offer a sense of comfort.
We began with an initial pre-design or sketch, and then brought it to life, turning our conceptual vision into a tangible reality
Final Result
Initial Conceptualization:
We started with a brainstorming session, sketching a vision of a space in soft pastels that would evoke floating between the sky and the clouds, blending ethereal comfort with grandeur.
Design and Development:
We meticulously turned this vision into reality with pastel hues—soft blues, pinks, and whites—mimicking dawn’s tranquility. The design featured floating elements and cloud-like textures for an airy, enveloping atmosphere.
Materialization:
Crafting the set involved a blend of traditional and innovative techniques. We used lightweight, translucent materials to achieve the illusion of floating clouds and integrated ambient lighting to enhance the dreamy atmosphere. The layout was designed to ensure that every sound captured by the microphones would be infused with a sense of openness and tranquility.
Final Touches:
Attention to detail was key. We added subtle accents, such as delicate cloud motifs and sky-inspired artwork, to enhance the theme. The result is a space that invites listeners to immerse themselves fully in the podcast experience, feeling as though they are suspended in a serene, otherworldly realm.
Through our creative process, we transformed a conceptual idea into a tangible set that transcends the ordinary.
